Give a helping hand ... Join the BUDDY system!!!

This year ASCS is taking its committment one step further, not only are we there to help and improve the life of MALTESE FEMA students but we will be taking a closer interest in the international part of our student body. International students contribute a great deal to our university environment by allowing us to experience diversity and allow a peak into cultures otherwise unreachable from our islands.

Now you have the chance to contribute something too. We all know how hard being a fresher was....and we understood the language! - they don't. We knew some 2nd years to ask our questions to - they don't. We had our friends around to offer support and help - they don't. But now we have the knowledge to guide - lets give them the opportunity to have what we did. a helping hand.

Be a buddy and with just a small portion of your time you can make a huge difference to someone. Being a buddy will only involve a meeting on Tuesday 30th September at 2pm (near ASCS stand in canteen car park) and from then on any questions they will have will be directed to you. Should any situation be too much to handle i will personally take over and you will not need to worry.

Don't slide through university being nothing more than a student....GRAB this opportunity to be a BUDDY!!!

For more information about the Buddy system click here .

BOVSL sponsors Association of Students of Commercial Studies

BOV Stockbrokers Ltd has renewed the sponsorship agreement with the Association of Students of Commercial Studies (ASCS), for the second consecutive term. The new agreement signed by Mr Alex Azzopardi, Chairman of ASCS and Mr Franco Xuereb, General Manager of BOV Stockbrokers Ltd, opens up a new two-year period of collaboration between the two sides.

The Association of Students of Commercial Studies is the largest faculty-based association on campus and continuously organises a number of activities both in the social and academic fields. ASCS is an active and dynamic organisation, which works to improve the students’ life on Campus.

Mr Alex Azzopardi stated that ASCS aims to increase both the bond between its members and their active participation during the years spent on campus. In fact, ASCS initiatives held recently on campus during the Freshers’ Week at the University of Malta, brought outstanding response from the students.

Mr Xuereb said that BOVSL is committed to educate, collaborate with, and help the upcoming students whose studies are related to the financial services sector, or who might pursue a job in the sector. BOVSL has thus chosen to sponsor the Association of Students of Commercial Studies (ASCS), which is the most prominent association of its kind. He also said that BOVSL was pleased to be associated with the ASCS and looked forward to further co-operation with the association.

BOVSL is a member of the Malta Stock Exchange and is licensed to conduct investment services business by the Malta Financial Services Authority.
